No rumour, its happening from tomorrow twice weekly with Jordan Aviation who operate on behalf of PIA.

The constriction to maintain service at MAN is benefiting DSA for the next month, hopefully longer. DSA assisted them earlier this year so has put itself in a good position, who knows if moving over the hills will put additional pressure on the IPS startup nearby.

Surprised Timmy didn't share the welcome news.

I would be more worried about the fact that the directors and top team are leaving in droves then a temporary switch of airports.

What did Declan actually do?? Nice bloke, but I don’t know what he actually did…

Tui will soon be operating five lines of flying, the airport should be pushing them to permanently expand their offering and to base a Dreamliner - it’s certainly viable, Florida, Cancun, Cape Verde etc.

Five lines of flying?

No idea what he did, just know he was part of the airports senior management, and along with the MD and others, he has gone, without seemingly being replaced.

So for all your mouthing off and regular “updates” you don’t actually know very much do you 😉

As I said:

Nice guy, not sure what he does. So what’s the replacement for?

And again, as I said:

Five lines of flying. There will shortly be five based aircraft operating Tui routes.

Everything I've posted I have backed up with evidence (in most cases).

Will look forward to the confirmation of the 5th based TUI

No you haven’t.

You told us the airport would be closed. Mark your words, I recall you saying.

You told us Thompson were leaving.

You told us Wizz were going to Leeds.

Just three off the top of my head of many over the years.

Also heard that the PIA/Jordan flights could become a little more permanent. We will wait and see.

Now that all the rats have fled the ship, there's an announcement tomorrow morning at 11am on the future of DSA. Most of the senior management gone before tomorrows announcement.

This is the end for DSA, peel want to build on the land.

More total bollocks from this sites first class numpties.

A fifth line of Tui flying starts next week and they’ve just registered 747 cargo that will be based here!!! Like the airports going to close a week later FFS 🙈🙈

Even I agree that post is BS!

The fith based aircraft is nothing to get excited about however, it's only here for six weeks.

Wait while 11am this morning my friend, no need to issue an apology afterwards as I understand why you think its bollocks.

Also, i never said it would close "within a week".

Also, the "One Air" 747 isn't based at DSA at all, its used it as a facility to operate from for its single CAA proving flight, and is now parked up for the next 3 weeks until it departs for Prestwick.

I'm skeptical. A lot has just been spent on the terminal improvements.

If there is an announcement - how do you know it is definitely regarding closure?

Its a strategic review, with a consultation but peel do not see the site having a "aviation based background" and would be "better suited to commercial property and other land uses".

Memo was sent internally yesterday for release @ 11am this morning.
