Perhaps if you had bothered to actually read the Preliminary Report and numerous posts in this thread you would have known that the aircraft was not on the tower frequency.

Yeah... Let's redesign the system and have a battery back up for the recorder.
Pity all the sensors feeding it information also stopped working at the same time so there is nothing to record..

Obviously doing a landing checklist must be just an option in this airline.
After all, it is cluttered up with all that irrelevant stuff like GEAR - DOWN, 3 GREENS. :E
