Light aircraft down northern Gold Coast

Vision from the channel 9 chopper looks bad. Apparently near Jacobs Well. Anyone know the type?

Unfortunately, it was a local aircraft owned by a syndicate. Something happened and the aircraft only just got airborne and failed to clear trees about 1 km from the end of the runway.

It crashed into trees and there was a small fire.

Initial reports are one fatality and one survivor.
