Wembley Flypast

What happened? A short aerial shot and then nothing.

And the ratio of fast jets to transports was, appropriately, 2:1

Maybe if it was 80 years earlier and the Luftwaffe did the fly past it might have been more noticeable?

I thought I'd heard a mention on the radio that the Red Arrows were going to be part of the flypast. Was that changed?

All female crew. Wouldn’t have been the case with the Reds.

The mention by the commentators seemed rather perfunctory, as if the flypast was an interruption. Can't help wondering if it would have been the same if the crew were male ? Or am I being overly woke-ish ? Rhetorical question............

IMHO,
it would have made no difference whoever was flying the a/c as these days for most televised events the presenters much prefer talking to 'celebs'. I wonder what the Hercules POB was. In my experience for such flypasts it is amazing how many 'entitled' appear from nowhere and demand to be on the trip.

Yes, they did well given that the Flypast was effectively medium level! 😂
