F/A-18s over Lancashire Today

Is there any information about the 3 x F/A-18s I saw flying over Fleetwood at 14:40ish today? It looked amazing

Exercise Yorknite which has been ongoing for 3 weeks, this week is the 4th and last. So assume they will depart home towards the end of the week

They normally use Lossiemouth however that wasn't an option this time.

I forgot to mention they are using RAF Leeming, and have done 4 or 5 trips into the LL in the Lake District

Ah, that might explain the USMC KC-130 that went steaming up the Great Glen on Sunday lunchtime then. Ta.

Thanks for the info, they're welcome back anytime. 👍🏿 The low level banking turn over my street is a sight I won't forget for a while.
