The brochure lists "crowd control" as a selling point of the Sig Sauer 9mm pistol. Pitched to one of the target audiences, I suppose, but still jarring to see in a UK Government publication!

How about the Puma and it’s casual-ty and re-sponse roles…

not a great selling point to list for the 146

It can carry many of its own spares, allowing it to operate for long periods away from base, with little or no external support.

Wonder how my neighbours would feel about living next door to a Sentry... actually with our gardens measuring approx. 12' x 60', it would take up all eight plots wingless - but what a cool patio umbrella!

Edit: Disappointed - an E-3 would stretch well beyond my furthest neighbour's garden and obstruct the garages for the adjacent block of flats. Can't go the other way as it would involve the demolition of at least four maisonettes. Curses...

Looking at the glossy brochure with its sale of expensive (to procure) assets being sold off (relatively) cheaply I can’t help but wonder that much (most) of it would be quite useful. HMS Scimitar and Sabre could be doing sterling work in the Channel with the immigrant boats and the C130Js, which did more tasking in Afghanistan than the A400M during the recent evacuations (the latter’s operating envelope is quite stretched at high airfield altitudes, no reversing possible at Kabul for eg, something of a joke for a ‘tactical’ ac).

The MOD, purveyor of unairworthy aircraft to the trade, like some latter day Arthur Daley. My advice to prospective bidders? Caveat Emptor!

Presumably the Chevy has to go as its 5.7L V8 makes its carbon footprint rather at odds with the MOD’s intention to become carbon-neutral...?!

Its when they put suff like this in the description

This unit is the cutting edge of military off road recovery technology, with extremely limited use (Just over 9000miles) in excellent condition, available for a fraction of the procurement cost.

It would appear Inews reads PPrune, i cannot see them picking it up themselves.
