Doesn't the F16 and Super Hornet look just a little bit old fashioned by comparison to the F22 Raptor? A bit of bad luck that our USA allies weren't prepared to sell them to us? Perhaps not, as they were too expensive for the Yanks also. And didn't come up to expectations anyway. That's why they are out of production with fewer than 200 built. Very sad.

Great pics there MFB the F16 still makes the sweetest sound out of all those military jets The F18's were a great show & so was the Raptor!

I just see a bunch of trees on the ground there. What do you see? A secret message or revelation or something?

Hey XXX,

I've seen that a couple of times now after departing north from YADL on commercial flights (Due to the pre-flight refreshment preparations, I can't remember how long into the flight you see it but I seem to recall not too long. 10 to 15 minutes seems to ring a bell... Next time I'll pay more attention...I promise!!)

When headed north Its viewable from any of the starboard window seats. I've often wondered about it as it seems to be well maintained.

Ah, reminds me of a certain character who after being prosecuted by CASA on some very dodgy evidence used an agricultural mower to write;

F**K CASA

in very large letters on the 5 acre block where he lived under the approach path to a regional airport.
