Glad all went well for landing and kudos to the crew.
Do you know if there was any maintenance carried out on the aircraft or is this result of a failure of the hub/axle?

Thanks.

Crew had reportedly advised NY ATC on departure that they "needed to reduce speed & keep landing gear down briefly due to hot brakes".
