From what I hear, it didn't go out. Overweight landing @ 940k lbs.

I’m sure General Electric will be watching this very closely, as will all other operators of the type. With the GEnx engine being the only one available for the B747-8, and also in use on the B787, any problems could have far reaching consequences.
