Thanks for the info, and that is good to know....however ( there's always at least one) I'd certainly echo A4s question about what level of RFF was maintained.

Bus fire, outside landside, and as a result you are denyed one of the major SE UK airports.......From the POV of an aviator who sometimes has Stansted as the only planned alternate inbound I think...

No idea, can understand reason for stopping outbounds...were inbounds simply cancelled due to the resultant lack of stands or was there more to it?

Whatever happened it does make one wonder...
