Worth it for most people. Sitting as an SO is a cruisy job, no doubt, but for those who want some satisfaction from their work you can’t beat a window seat.

Totally agree - SH hours in the 65-75 hour range seem to be most popular. Good balance between days worked and pay.

By that metric the $300K/350K+ figures are more akin to the Capt rate.

Most new SO’s will end up 330/350 or 787 in SYD / MEL / PER.

The base will be approx $125K plus allowances of around $20K - $30K depending on trips.
