Just a stray thought, we know about MCAS and manual trim wheel problems, what else might lurk there? Did the greed produce any other questionable solutions to grandmother problems?

This may have been discussed already but I don't remember having seen it. So:

A damaged / misbehaving AoA transducer causes atleast:
- a stall warning
- UAS warning
- erroneous MCAS activation...

I think it all comes down to the safety culture at the moment MCAS was finally realized. It does not come out as convincingly positive.

Of course there is the possibility that some bean counter...

Some of the senior flight mechanics engineers knew, they knew the whole shebang. They are usually quite pragmatic too. One does not make waves, even in the Navy.
