Looks like another budget job that is pretty dull all things considered.

Red Fin, Spine and Canards have been done to death...they really need to get imaginative.
They are calling it a full scheme, but it already was black!

Call me old-fashioned but I think that fighters should look like warplanes, not dogs' dinners. During a display career lasting more than 40 years, I never flew a tarted-up aircraft and was never asked to; it is to my mind, the flying that enthuses people, not the paint-job.

Agreed, but if you are going to do it, do something with a bit of style and imagination to it.

Liking the old school XXX markings, just a shame that the fuselage/fin scheme is so conservative compared to GAF, ITAF and RSAF display Typhoons. Missed opportunity?

They could show what the design on the wings is. May improve the concept, but I doubt it. As dire a display scheme as seen in many a season. Nul Pont as far as I am concerned.

Very poor lack lustre effort. Why can't we be more imaginative like the Germans who do brilliant schemes.

To fly a display requires careful planning, paying attention to the brief and finely honed skills coupled with good decision making. He would turn up in the wrong aircraft, on the wrong day at the wrong field, fly a wobbly circuit and complete with a wheels up landing. At the subsequent enquiry he would blame the met man and the ground crew.

Even this modeller came up with better for the 2018 scheme than the RAF managed

Hmm 🤔, Not much imagination shown there! Rather disjointed and not very impressive…. Rather 🤐 🤮

I would have preferred a theme based on the RAF Ensign using the Ensign blue with a smaller tasteful Union Flag on the tail!

Shock horror

The RAF unveil a new paint scheme and the assembled masses of resident grumpy old men turn out in force to show their disapproval.

Predictable.

In the USA, veterans are treated with respect.

In the UK, they are accused of being "grumpy old men".

Predictable.

“In the USA, veterans support those who serve and generally accept that life moves on and that change, whilst not always what they would choose, is unavoidable.

On Pprune they act like spoilt children and are often treated as such by those who are less narrow minded.”

Corrected free of charge, by a veteran, before the faux outrage.
